In a public outreach initiative, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a Janta Darshan in Gorakhpur on Friday, addressing the grievances of over 200 citizens who gathered outside the Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhawan.
In a move that underlines his commitment to public welfare, CM Yogi personally interacted with attendees, assuring them of timely and effective solutions to their concerns
Reaching out to each individual seated in the designated area, CM Yogi listened to their issues and accepted written applications, directing officials to address every case with urgency and compassion. "Don't worry; the government will take effective action on every issue," he assured the crowd.
The Chief Minister focused particularly on complaints related to crime and land encroachment. He directed police officials to take strict measures against those involved in criminal activities and land grabbing, particularly targeting "dabang" elements and mafias who encroach on lands.
"Those who exploit the poor should not be spared," he declared, emphasizing his administration's firm stance against individuals who harm vulnerable sections of society.
Several attendees at the Janta Darshan requested financial aid for medical treatments, reflecting the ongoing need for healthcare support. CM Yogi assured them that the government would provide financial assistance to ensure that no one is denied critical care due to lack of funds. He instructed officers to expedite the preparation of cost estimates for those requiring advanced medical treatments and pledged immediate disbursement of funds upon submission. Additionally, he urged officials to facilitate smooth access to medical facilities for Ayushman cardholders and to issue cards promptly to eligible individuals still awaiting them. The day began with CM Yogi following his traditional routine at Gorakhnath temple. Known for his strong spiritual connection to the temple, he offered prayers to Guru Gorakhnath and paid respects at the samadhi sthal of his guru, Brahmalin Mahant Avedyanath.
In a touching moment, the Chief Minister spent time at the temple's Gaushala, where he greeted and fed the cows, calling them by affectionate names such as Shyama, Gauri, Ganga, and Bhola. The cows responded warmly, gathering around as he gently stroked their foreheads and fed them jaggery with his own hands.
