Man held for selling Chinese manjha in Delhi

A 30-year-old man has been apprehended by the Delhi Police for selling Chinese manjha from North Delhi’s Sadar Bazar in a bid to curb the sale of the illegal manjha.

According to the police on Thursday, they received a secret information from a reliable source Bazar that a person is roaming on the Road and selling Chinese Manjha near Safique Memorial School Chamelian Road in Sadar Bazar.

“On receiving such information, the team sprang into action and without wasting a moment reached at the place of the information at about 04:30 PM, wherein they noticed a suspicious person, having a plastic bag in his hand, who was later identified as Junaid,” said DCP North Manoj Kumar Meena

He added that the bag was checked and total 15 bundles of Chinese Manjha were recovered from the bag possessed by him. The recovered bundles of Chinese Manjha were taken in police possession through a seizure memo.

Accordingly, a case under section 223(B) (Disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of BNS was registered at Sadar Bazar police station and the accused was arrested as per the procedure of law and further investigation has been taken up.
