NF Railway progress in healthcare
Maligaon: The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has made significant strides in enhancing healthcare services across its network of hospitals, reflecting its strong commitment to the health and well-being of its employees, their families, and the general public. Under the leadership of Chetan Kumar Shrivastava, General Manager/NFR, the railway has invested immensely in modernizing hospital facilities towards equipping them with advanced diagnostic tools, OT's, and Intensive Care Units (ICUs).
Handmade Rakhis showcased
Amritsar: On the eve of Raksha Bandhan, the Department of Apparel and Textile Technology (DATT) of Guru Nanak Dev University, students of MSc Fashion Designing (FYIP) and MSc Fashion Designing (2 years programme) organised an exhibition cum sale on handmade rakhis, key chains and hair accessories like hair bow clips. The students showcased their work of handmade products. "The development of products was truly sustainable, fashionable, innovative and affordable," said the university. As part of their curriculum, the students made rakhis with different techniques of macrame and crocheting. Head of the Department of Apparel and Textile Technology Dr Varinder Kaur said the rakhis made from different techniques were eye-catching.
TCS hires 65 GNDU students
Amritsar: The Directorate of Placement & Career Enhancement of Guru Nanak Dev University organised Campus Placement drive by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) company for BTech and MCA students of GNDU - Batch 2024. The company selected 65 students from these courses. These students have been offered a package in the range of Rs 3.36 lakh to Rs 9.00 lakh per annum. The students belong to Guru Nanak Dev University main campus, Regional Campuses of Jalandhar and Guraspur. These students will join their jobs after passing out their respective courses. Vice Chancellor Dr Jaspal Singh Sandhu congratulated the students and faculty members for the achievement.
