Delhi LG orders transfer of 21 IPS, DANICS officers

In a major administrative reshuffle, Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has ordered the transfer/posting of 21 Indian Police Service (IPS) and Delhi Andaman and Nicobar Islands Police Service (DANIPS) officers in the national capital.

According to the official order issued Tuesday, Sunil Kumar Gautam, a 1989 batch IPS officer has been appointed as the Special CP/Human Resource Division, while Chhaya Sharma (1999-batch IPS) is now the Special Commissioner (Training) and Vikramjit Singh, a 2006-batch IPS officer, has been appointed as the Joint CP of the Western Range. Sagar Singh Kalsi, a 2010-batch IPS officer is now Addl. CP of the Eastern Range. His batchmate, Satya Vir Katara, has been reassigned as the new Addl CP( Recruitment), as per the order.

Other appointments include Vivek Kishore, a 1999-batch IPS officer, assumes the role of Joint CP/Crime, Rajiv Ranjan Singh (2010-IPS batch) is now Addl CP/Northern Range, and Meenu Chaudhary(2000-IPS batch IPS) as Joint CP/HQ while Chandan Chaudhary(2010-IPS batch) will hold the change of Addl CP/Licensing and Esha pandey (2010-IPS batch) who has been attached with CBI will oversee as Addl CP/Traffic while Shweta Chauhan(2010-IPS batch) who has been attached to Manipur Government has been given the post of Addl CP/HQ as well.

On the other hand, AV Deshpande(2006-IPS batch) will now serve as Joint CP/Ops. While Sanjay Kumar Jain(2002-IPS batch) has been assigned the post of Joint CP/Southern Range.

2010 IPS batch officer DK Gupta has been posted as Addl CP/Traffic while his colleagues Rajender Singh Sagar and Rakesh Kumar have been posted as Addl CP/Armed Police, Addl CP/Security respectively. IPS officer Ankit Chouhan of 2013 batch has been posted as DCP/South District. DANIPS officers K Ramesh (2010 batch), Ashok Kumar (2012 batch) and Dabhi Anand Dinesh Bhai (2012 batch) have been posted as DCP/GA, Addl DCP/South II district and Addl DCP/Security respectively.

Recently, the Union Home Ministry too had promoted a total 32 IPS officers to the DIG rank. These included AGMUT IPS officers  Dr Eish Singhal, Rajiv Omprakash Pande, Benita Mary Jaiker and Santosh Kumar Meena, all from the 2010 batch who are on deputation, among others, as per the order.
