The need to elevate teachers is crucial for the betterment of education systems and society. Just as students undergo cognitive development as they learn, teachers too experience cognitive growth as they engage themselves in professional learning which ultimately reflects on their practice and refines their approaches.
Continuous professional development opportunities and recognising teachers for their continuous hard work and dedication can boost morale and motivation. It can help teachers to refine their skills, stay updated with the latest pedagogical techniques, and deepen their subject matter expertise further enabling them to monitor and regulate their teaching practices, adapt their approaches based on student needs, and improve their effectiveness as educators.
