Medhavi Skills University (MSU), India’s largest skills university, has partnered with Orane International, a leading skilling pioneer, to introduce UGC-recognized degree programs in the beauty and wellness sector. The collaboration aims to address the skills gap in the industry by offering specialized B.Voc (Bachelor of Vocation) courses in Cosmetology and Makeup Artistry.

This partnership, formalized through an MoU signed on September 24, combines MSU’s expertise in industry-led education with Orane’s extensive network of over 120 skill centers across India and abroad. The initiative will provide hands-on training to professionals in the beauty and wellness industry, projected to reach ?5 lakh crore by 2030, and which employs a 70% female workforce.

Key highlights of the partnership include industry-driven curricula with a 70% practical component, the use of the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) framework for experienced professionals, and a focus on empowering women through formal qualifications.
