India’s largest exhibition for the automation industry, Automation Expo 2024, slated from August 21 to 24 is all set to be a pivotal event in showcasing how Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics are driving transformative changes across manufacturing and production sectors.
The integration of AI with traditional robotics is revolutionising the industry by advancing predictive maintenance, reducing material waste, and improving demand forecasting. Attendees will experience a comprehensive display of the latest technologies and solutions, featuring both innovative startups and established industry leaders, said Dr M Arokiaswamy, Founder & Chairman of IED Communications.
The exhibition to be held at the Bombay Exhibition Center (BEC), Nesco, Mumbai is supported by various associations including the Technology Development Board, National Small Industry Corporation (NSIC), All India Manufacturers’ Organization (AIMO), among others.
Dr BR Mehta, Director Projects at Waaree Group, emphasised the expo’s importance in exploring technologies that can revolutionise manufacturing processes and foster industry collaboration while Dr. Kartik Fojdar, Head — CoE Engineering Instrumentation at Reliance Industries Ltd., spoke about the expo’s potential to provide innovative solutions that drive operational excellence.
Dr Keyur Vora, Advisor and HOD (C&I) at Adani-Petrochemical Business, underscored the opportunity for discovering new technologies and forging strategic partnerships to enhance operational efficiency. At the same time Dr VP Raman, Engineering Consultant, noted that the expo will offer a unique platform for engaging with leading vendors and system integrators to explore solutions that boost operational efficiency.
India’s industrial automation sector is on a significant growth trajectory, with projections indicating a rise from over USD 15 billion to USD 29.5 billion by 2029.
