A delegation of the Veer Surendra Sai Nagar Unnayan Parishad on Tuesday met Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Amruta Vijay Kulange and discussed about the civic problems in VSS Nagar.
Among the problems discussed were construction of a road from VSS Nagar to the old Nandankanan road via Laxmivihar, construction of more rooms in the Urban Health and Wellness Centre in the area, re-laying of the roads in the colony, formation of a ward committee, shifting of the garbage dump from near the Sainik School, parking facilities for two-wheelers in the VSS Nagar Market and construction of rest sheds at the Mo Bus stoppages.
Kulange said he would make personal efforts for a VSS Nagar-old Nandankanan road and a beautiful park would be constructed at the garbage dump near Sainik School. Besides, the other problems would be solved on a priority basis.
Among others, local Corporator Prabhasini Mohanty, Unnayan Parishad president Krupasindhu Sahu, general secretary Dillip Dashsharma, treasurer Maheshwar Biswal, joint secretary Pratap Kumar Nanda, Dharnidhar Rout, Nimai Charan Das, Ramachandra Samal and Suresh Chandra Kar were present.
