The new campus of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National Journalism and Communication University, located in 50 acres of lush green land, was inaugurated on Friday by the Vice President of India and Visitor of the University, Jagdeep Dhankhar.
On this occasion, the wife of the Honorable Vice President, Dr Sudesh Dhankhar, Public Relations Minister Rajendra Shukla, Higher Education Minister Mohan Yadav, Bhopal MP Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, local MLA P.C. Sharma, University Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) KG Suresh, Members of the General Council and Academic Council and Registrar Dr. Avinash Vajpayee graced the occasion. Vice President and his wife Mrs. Dr Sudesh Dhankhar also planted saplings at Bishankhedi campus. Later, Sh Dhankar awarded degrees to four hundred and fifty Post Graduate students, including 24 PhD students at the fourth convocation ceremony held at Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Auditorium.
While presenting the report of the University, Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. (Dr.) KG Suresh said that following the ideals of Dada Makhanlal Chaturvedi ji, the university is moving on the path of progress. He said that the university is continuously helping the youth in finding solutions to the challenges of the society by imparting knowledge and skills of innovation and journalism and making their lives successful .He expressed the hope that the students of the university, following the ideals and values of Dada and his newspaper "Karmaveer", will be fearless and follow the path of truth and serve and build the nation with honesty, hard work, innovation, positivity and creativity for the progress of the society. The convocation ceremony ended with the national anthem. On this occasion, heads of various departments of the university, teachers, officers and distinguished citizens were present.
