The Utkal Chamber of Commerce and Industry Limited (UCCIL) in association with L&T-SuFin conducted an exclusive knowledge sharing session on “Creating efficiencies in supply chain and finance through digitization for MSMEs” on December 20.
Many key industry personalities and stalwarts of Odisha joined to discuss various aspects of supporting MSMEs in their demand and supply cycle concerning not only products and raw materials but also much on the service aspects of the industries downstream.
President UCCIL Dr Brahma Mishra in his opening remarks of the seminar hailed the grand entry of L&T-SuFin’s initiative to penetrate deeper into the markets of Odisha. He said that the industry is the very crux, the be-all-and-end-all of the cycle of requirement and fulfilment of the supply chain and commercial financing.
L&T-SuFin CEO Bhadresh Pathak who came to Bhubaneswar on his very first official visit in his capacity as the CEO, in his address deliberated on the pondering questions that industry fraternity, especially the MSMEs has been seeking. He presented in very clear terms the roadmap of L&T SuFin’s integrated solution wherein he explained the methodology of product and price discovery, transaction, logistics, and at the core of the hierarchy, the financing part. He threw sufficient light on SMEs, which actually account for the backbone of B2B supply chain ecosystem, from perspectives of both seller’s and buyer’s payment structure and goods and services link, that is inclusive of the manufacturing, operations, logistics, IT/ITES, financing, contract and legal support system and the ancillaries.
