New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) Chairman Amit Yadav on Saturday inaugurated a two-day All India Winter Rose Show organised by NDMC in association with The Rose Society of India at India - Africa Friendship Rose Garden in Chankyapuri.

The Show displayed 70 varieties of roses through 85 exhibits in 25 categories. More than 200 participants are participating across the country.

 More than 50 children also participated in the on the Spot Painting Competition on the theme of Roses. NDMC Chairman gave away the prizes – certificates and trophies to the winners of best judged paintings. He also launched a souvenir of the Rose Society of India on the occasion.

 Yadav appreciated the efforts of The Rose Society of India to organise the Winter Rose Show in which large number of institutes and individuals both local and outside exhibiting their best blooms with the different and unique colour as well as blooming potted plants of Roses.

He said Rose Cultivation is a passion of people who devote their decades to cultivating different types of roses. They are very close to nature to cultivate different types of roses for the general public. This exhibition is a result of their long time efforts and is a part of the Rose Movement of the world.  The Chairman urged people to come this weekend and enjoy the different colour of roses in the lush green atmosphere and feel energized and stress relieved to know more about the rose garden and enjoy the sight of majestic bloom in the rose beds.
