The provisional State capital is likely to get colder on Sunday with the State meteorological centre forecasting that both the maximum and minimum temperatures will drop by about a degree compared to Saturday. The meteorological centre has forecast that dry weather is likely to prevail in the districts of the State today. Further, shallow to moderate fog is likely to occur during the morning hours in some parts of Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar districts on Sunday.
Dehradun is forecast to witness a mainly clear to partly cloudy sky while the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 22 degrees Celsius and six degrees Celsius respectively.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Saturday were 22.9 degrees Celsius and seven degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 22.2 degrees Celsius and 4.8 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 16.4 degrees Celsius and 5.2 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 17.6 degrees Celsius and 4.9 degrees Celsius in New Tehri. The maximum temperature in Dehradun was one degree above normal while the minimum temperature was a degree below normal. The minimum temperature in Pantnagar was two degrees below normal. Similarly, the maximum and minimum temperatures in Mukteshwar were two degrees above normal while the maximum and minimum temperatures in New Tehri were a degree above normal.
