The State continued to reel under cold wave conditions due to a sharp drop in mercury. As many as 10 places recorded temperatures of 10 degree Celsius on Sunday night.
G Udayagiri in Kandhamal district and Kirei in Sundargarh district recorded a minimum temperature of 8 degree, becoming the coldest places in the State.
The other places that were under 10 degree were Koraput 8.6 degree, Angul 9 degree, Keonjhar 8 degree, Phulbani 9 degree, Daringibadi 9 degree, Ranital 9.6 degree, Sundargarh 9.8 degree and Rourkela 9.8 degree.
In the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar the minimum temperature recorded was 13.5 degree.
As per the Regional Office of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) here, several parts of the State are likely to experience light to moderate fog in the next three days.
On Tuesday, shallow to moderate fog very likely to occur in the districts of Keonjhar, Kalahandi, Koraput, Kandhamal, Balangir, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Angul and Dhenkanal.
