Former Deputy Chief Minister cum Silli MLA Sudesh Kumar Mahato was once again elected as the Central President of AJSU Party. Dev Sharan Bhagat, the central chief spokesperson in the party's central office, announced the appointment of Mahto as party president at a press conference held at party office. Apart from appointment of party president, the central officials have been announced as part of the new resolutions taken for the reconstruction of the state.
This year, in the Central General Conference of AJSU Party held at Morhabadi Ground in Ranchi on 29, 30 September and 1 October, it was decided that the Central Committee and central office bearers would be selected. On this basis Sudesh Mahato has been elected as the Central President. Apart from this, MP CP Chaudhary will be the Senior Vice President. Umakant Rajak (former MLA), Akil Akhtar (former MLA) along with Hasan Ansari and Supreeti Murmu have been elected as Vice Presidents. Former minister Ramchandra Sahis will be the head general secretary. Apart from this, about three dozen General Secretaries including MLA Sunita Chaudhary and Dr. Lambodar Mahato, Rajendra Mehta, Roshan Lal Chaudhary, Yashoda Devi have been elected. S Ali and Jaipal Singh have been given a chance as organization secretaries. 136 secretaries (including three office secretaries), four spokespersons including one chief spokesperson, two treasurers, two trainers and Subodh Prasad have been selected as the head of the disciplinary committee.
According to Dev Sharan Bhagat, the central officials of the party, along with the central members and party workers, will liberate the state from the misgovernance of the present government and will take the people towards self-governance. It has been ensured that every caste, religion and region of the state is represented in the selection of central officials. Soon there will be a Central Committee meeting in which all the new office bearers will take oath and the future programs of the party will be announced.
