In a thrilling culmination to the 2023 Tata Steel PGTI season, the Tata Steel Group, in collaboration with the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI), is set to host the prestigious Tata Steel Tour Championship at the Beldih and Golmuri golf courses in Jamshedpur from December 21 to 24, 2023. With an unprecedented prize purse of INR 3 crore, the event promises to be a showcase of golfing excellence.
The tournament, a 72-hole stroke-play championship, will feature a stellar field of 75 professionals, making it one of the most anticipated events on the PGTI calendar. Among the notable names participating are Gaganjeet Bhullar (2020 champion), SSP Chawrasia, Manu Gandas (2022 Tata Steel PGTI Ranking champion), defending champion Chikkarangappa S, and the current 2023 Tata Steel PGTI Ranking leader, Om Prakash Chouhan.
The tournament serves as the season-ending event, with no cut applied, guaranteeing prize money for all participants. The innovative format includes a rotation between the Beldih and Golmuri golf courses for each half of the field, creating an exciting and dynamic playing experience.
