Chief Minister Hemant Soren said these words while addressing the program "Apki Sarkar Apke Dwar" at Bada Dhaka located in Gadi Koraiya Panchayat of Dumka block. Soren said that if any person is still deprived of the benefits of government schemes due to any reason, then they should go to the camps being organized in Panchayats under this program which is running from November 24. The entire team of officials present here is ready to solve people’s problem.
The Chief Minister said that camps are being organized in all the panchayats under the program “Aapki Yojana-Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar”. People's enthusiasm about these camps is at its peak. People from every class and section including poor, needy, tribal, Dalit, backward, farmers-laborers, elderly women and youth are coming to the camps to join the schemes of their need. There is a festive atmosphere in the camp. This shows how much trust the common people have in our government. I assure everyone that the Abu government is committed to fulfil the aspirations and expectations of the people at all costs.
The Chief Minister said that our government is giving pace to development by fulfilling the basic needs of the people like food, clothing and shelter. Abua Housing Scheme is going to fulfill the dream of 8 lakh poor people of having their own home. By issuing 20 lakh additional green ration cards, they are giving them grains and now the government has also decided to give them gram pulses. Under the Sona-Sobaran Dhoti-Saree Scheme, the poor are being given dhoti/lungi and saree for Rs 10 twice a year.
The Chief Minister said that government is empowering the people economically, socially and educationally. The government is working with full force to get rid of the tag of poverty and backwardness that has been attached to the state for the last two decades. With everyone's cooperation, we are working to give a new direction to the state.
The Chief Minister said that pension is a means of living in old age. Because of this, the Abua government is providing social security to every elderly, widow and disabled person. To ensure that no eligible person is deprived of pension, we have started the Universal Pension Scheme. I want to tell you that the stalls which are seen most empty in the camps are the stalls of the Universal Pension Scheme, because today every elderly person has been covered by this scheme.
On building infrastructure in State, the Chief Minister said that the road network is being laid rapidly across the state. Thousands of kilometers of rural roads are being built. Mukhyamantri Gram Gaadi Yojana has been started for better connectivity from village to city. Under this scheme, old people, women, disabled and students will get free transportation facility. At the same time, the government has set a target of providing water to every farm. For this, Megalift Irrigation Project equipped with modern technology has been started. In the days to come, every farm will flourish throughout the year and farmers will become even stronger financially.
The Chief Minister said that the state cannot be strengthened without strengthening the rural economy in Jharkhand. This is the reason why the government is working for the empowerment of villages and villagers. Our government is promoting rural entrepreneurship and livelihood through various means. Under Phulo-Jhano Ashirwad Yojana, the government has now decided to give Rs 50 thousand instead of Rs 10 thousand to provide women with respectable livelihood.
The Chief Minister said that financial constraints will no longer become a hindrance in the education of poor children of the state. Girls will no longer be a burden. In order for girls to study better, they are being given the benefit of Savitribai Kishori Phule Savitri Yojana. Under this scheme, all the girls living in the house will get its benefit. Now she will become a doctor, engineer and officer. Lack of money will not be a hindrance in this, because the government will bear the entire expense of their education. Schools of Excellence have been opened to provide better education to the children here than private schools. At present the number of these schools is 80, the government is moving towards increasing them to 5 thousand. He said that today the government is bearing the entire expense of higher education of 50 students abroad. At the same time, the government is also providing financial assistance for preparing for competitive exams and doing various courses.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 5358 schemes worth Rs 1035.10 crore. In this, the foundation stone of 5308 schemes worth Rs 835.71 crore was laid, while the inauguration of 50 schemes worth Rs 199.38 crore was completed. At the same time, assets worth Rs 53 crore, 23 lakh 10 thousand were distributed among 34077 beneficiaries of various schemes.
