A soldier and two others died on Monday after consuming illicit liquor in a village in Janjgir-Champa district in Chhattisgarh.
The dead are soldier Nandlal Kashyap and his friends Satish Kashyap and Parasram Sahu, all from Rogda village, Janjgir-Champa Superintendent of Police Vijay Agrawal told The Pioneer.
Nandlal Kashyap, who got married last week, invited his friends for a meal at his residence, the officer said.
The three fell unconscious after consuming liquor which they bought from a bootlegger in their village.
The family members rushed them to a hospital where doctors declared them dead, Agrawal said.
