Executive Officer of Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital, P.S. Rathore won three gold medals in various sports events in the fifth State Masters Games in sixty years plus age group. Among the players of this group, Rathore secured first position in 100 meter race, disc throw and javelin throw competitions.
The competitions were organized at Mahananda Sports Arena in Ujjain. Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board Chairman Dr. Sanwar Patel was the chief guest. Amanat Khan, Secretary of Masters Games Association was specially present. More than three hundred male and female players of the age group of thirty to eighty years from different districts of the state, participated in the competitions. Shravan Yadav was the director of competitions.
P.S. Rathore completed the 100 meter race in 17.44 seconds. In disc throw, he succeeded in throwing the disc at a distance of 25.14 meters. Similarly, by throwing javelin 25.92 meters, he got first place in all three competitions. Rathore retired from the post of DGM from Punjab National Bank. He has participated in the Kho-Kho competition in the National Games held in 1981 and in athletics in 1980. He won medals in 110 meter hurdles in the Bank Sports Board National Games for seven consecutive years. Rathore has been honored with the award of Best Athlete in the National Sports Competition organized by PNB.
