The cold winds coming from the north have increased the effect of cold in Madhya Pradesh. There was a severe cold in many districts including Bhopal and Narmadapuram on Tuesday morning. Pachmarhi, Gwalior and Rajgarh are the coldest. There has been a decline in the day and night temperatures here.
According to meteorologists, the weather is like this due to the clouds clearing and Western Disturbance not being active. It will be cold like this for the next 2-3 days.
Senior meteorologist said that there is no new system nearby. The clouds have dispersed and the humidity has decreased. At the same time, cold wind is coming from the north-west. Due to this, the effect of winter has increased in the state.
The state capital Bhopal recorded day temperature at 26.8 degree celsius and night temperature at 12.4 degree celsius.
The Met has issued warning of shallow to moderate foggy conditions in the districts of Shivpuri, Gwalior, Dipiya, Pabhand, Morena, Reha, Chhatarpur, Satna.
The temperatures were recorded above normal temperature in Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Rewa and Ujjain divisions while significantly higher than normal in Narmadapuram, Shahdol and Sagar divisions.
Rajgarh remained the coldest in the state. Here the mercury dipped to 7.6 degrees at night. In Pachmarhi it was 8.8 degrees. The night temperature was 10.5 in Rewa, 10.6 in Umaria and 10.8 in Guna. At other places the mercury remained above this. The highest night temperature of 15.6 was recorded in Narmadapuram.
