Several places in the State continued to shiver with below10-degree-Celsius temperature. Temperature in some parts of Kandhamal, Sundargarh and Koraput districts in particular have begun to plummet further.
According to Regional Office of the India Meteorological Department here, at least six places plummeted below 10 degree Celsius on Friday night. While Kirei in Sundargarh district was the coldest place at 8.3 degree, G Udayagiri in Kandhamal district recorded minimum temperature 8.4 degree, Phulbani 8.5 degree, Koraput 9.5 degree, Ranital (Bhadrak) 9.6 degree and Rourkela 9.8 degree .
Five places recorded 10 degree. They were Chipilima (Sambalpur), Angul, Keonjhar, Sundargarh and Daringibadi (Kandhamal). Jharsuguda recorded 10.2 degree.
The minimum temperature also dropped in the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. While Bhubaneswar recorded 13.2 degree, Cuttack recorded 13.5 degree.
