As the countdown begins for the consecration of Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024, the Yogi Adityanath government has stepped up efforts to complete several projects worth more than Rs 30,500 crore which are underway in the holy city by 2024.
Investment projects exceeding Rs 6,000 crore are ready to be launched in Ayodhya, primarily focusing on hospitality, travel and tourism, and higher education. The projects are expected to generate 20,000-30,000 new job opportunities with their implementation on the ground.
“Preparations are in full swing to make the inauguration ceremony of the Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya an event that will be remembered for generations,” a government spokesman said.
The series of development projects include the opening of the first-ever international airport in Ayodhya. Flights are set to commence from here in January 2024.
Additionally, a new grand building for the Ayodhya Dham railway station spread over 50,000 square feet will also be ready in January.
Furthermore, Ayodhya as a Solar City is expected to take full shape by March.
Many development projects would be completed by January. They include completion of various development projects, including the 4-lane Ayodhya-Akbarpur-Baskhari Marg, railway over bridge from National Highway 27 to Ram Path along the Panchkoshi Parikrama Marg, a major flyover at Badi Bua railway crossing, railway over bridge near Darshan Nagar, multi-level parking in Amaniganj, smart vehicle parking near the collectorate, construction of interpretation walls on the Panchkosi and 14 Kosi routes, development of more than 25 tourist places and ponds on Parikrama road, installation of decorative poles and heritage lights, construction of Kaushalya Sadan and completion of the development of Mukti Vaikunth Dham.
In February, the construction work of a 24-hour water supply network in seven wards of Ayodhya and the construction of the 4-lane Dharma Path near Suryakund will be completed.
In March, the work of Fatehganj rail over bridge on Ayodhya-Akbarpur road, Ayodhya-Bilhar Ghat 4-lane road, beautification of Guptar Ghat, development of tourism facilities from Naya Ghat to Laxman Ghat, Ayodhya Solar City will be completed.
In April, the construction of a shelter near the Awadh bus station, the construction of Kalyan Bhavan near Naka bypass, and the construction of four historical entrance gates will be accomplished.
In June, the completion of phase one of the Ayodhya sewerage scheme is planned.
In July, the expansion of Panchkoshi Parikrama Marg with an investment of Rs 473 crore will be completed.
In September, the completion of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar International Sports Complex is scheduled.
In October, the expansion of the 14 Koshi Parikrama Marg with an investment of Rs 1,140 crore will be completed.
From November to December, the construction of the Zonal Urban Facilitation Centre in Ayodhya, as well as the completion of the massive buildings of Ayodhya Nagar Nigam and Ayodhya Development Authority will be accomplished.
