Union Textiles Ministry is extending its support to, "Bharat Tex 2024, a global mega textile event organised jointly by a consortium of 11 Textiles Export Promotion Councils (EPCs) and is scheduled to be held from February 26 to 29, 2024 at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
In order to promote the event among the stakeholders in Madhya Pradesh, a Roadshow was organized at Hotel Marriot, Indore by TEXPROCIL the Lead Council and Handloom Export Promotion Council (HEPC) as the supporting Council with Local support from The Madhya Pradesh Textile Mills Association (MPTA), Indore on 13th December 2023. Regional Office of the Textile Commissioner, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India coordinated the proceedings at the meeting.
The dignitaries at the roadshow included Rajeev Saxena, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, and Navneet Mohan Kothari (IAS), Managing Director, M.P. Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) Ltd.
The program started with traditional lamp lighting by the dignitaries. Siddhartha Rajagopal, Executive Director, Texprocil set the context for the Roadshow. He informed that Bharat Tex 2024 is envisaged to be the biggest textile event at the global level and is expected to attract around 5000 exhibitors from around the world, more than over 40,000 domestic buyers and 3,000 overseas buyers and will be featuring exhibition spread across 2,00,000 sq.m. area showcasing the entire textile value change encompassing Apparel, Home furnishing, floor covering, fibres, yarn, fabrics carpets silk textiles base handicraft, technical textile etc. The event will focus on sustainability and resilient supply chains and promises to be a tapestry of tradition and technology and would attract the best and the brightest from the textile world.
The 4 day event also includes knowledge sessions, thematic discussion, government to government meeting (G2G) meeting, business to business (B2B) meeting, the signing of memorandum of understanding (MoUs), Live demonstrations, cultural events and others.
