In a strategic move gearing up for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024, the Rashtriya Lok Dal has chalked out comprehensive plans for the next two months, with a focus on organising extensive events across all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh.
The party’s primary emphasis will be on engaging with farmers, workers, labourers, villagers and the youths.
Specifically targeting the five constituencies where the party holds a strong claim, RLD is mobilising its ground-level forces to connect with Jat voters and comprehend the diverse demands of the public. Post this thorough understanding of public concerns, the party plans to compile and articulate them in a comprehensive document.
The inaugural phase of this meticulous planning involves the commencement of the Chaudhary Charan Singh Sandesh Rath Yatra. Launched from Saharanpur on Sunday, December 10, the Rath Yatra is set to traverse through all districts of Uttar Pradesh, culminating in a grand finale at Kisan Ghat in Delhi on December 23, commemorating the birth anniversary of former prime minister Chaudhary Charan Singh.
Facilitated by the RLD Sports Cell, the Sandesh Rath Yatra aims to cover 11 Lok Sabha constituencies.RLD national general secretary Trilok Tyagi officially flagged off the Rath Yatra, scheduled to reach Meerut on December 13.
The core objective behind this Rath Yatra is to effectively communicate the policies and ideologies of the RLD to the public. The party aims to connect with farmers, the impoverished, labourers, and the youth, with Chaudhary Neerpal Singh, the Rath Yatra coordinator and national president of RLD Sports Cell, expressing that Chaudhary Charan Singh’s legacy resonates deeply with every farmer, labourer and youth.
The Rath Yatra seeks to disseminate Chaudhary Saheb’s ideology and policies across 11 Lok Sabha and 55 Vidhan Sabha constituencies in the Saharanpur, Meerut and Moradabad divisions of western Uttar Pradesh.
Further solidifying its outreach strategy, the RLD plans to kickstart the youth conference from Meerut on January 7. This initiative is specifically designed to engage with women, young voters and farmers. Through these youth conferences, the party aspires to establish a robust connection with the demographic that plays a pivotal role in electoral dynamics.
