Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL) conducted a significant workshop on December 17, at Management Training Institute Ranchi, as part of a series aimed at revisiting SAIL's vision. This workshop brought together participants from various SAIL-Ranchi based units and was organized in collaboration with the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), Hyderabad. ASCI have been engaged by SAIL as a consultant to facilitate this series of workshops at different levels and various units of the organization.
Ved Prakash, Executive Director (SDTD) and Sandip Kumar Kar, Executive Director (RDCIS), along with other senior Chief General Managers (CGMs) and executives were present at the event.
The primary objective of the workshop was to revisit SAIL's vision statement, underscoring its significance in the current industrial landscape. Facilitated by ASCI Hyderabad, the workshop aimed to address key issues, challenges, and outcomes associated with reshaping SAIL's vision.
Ved Prakash, ED (SDTD) commended the comprehensive workshop on redefining SAIL's vision, recognizing it as an essential response to emerging trends in the industry. He underscored that the active involvement of all stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and employees, is imperative in this transformative process, ensuring SAIL's continued leadership in the evolving landscape.
S K Kar, ED (RDCIS) appreciated the inclusive workshop on revisiting SAIL's vision, emphasizing it as the first step in an ongoing thinking process. Highlighting the importance of collective effort, he stressed that the real value lies in the continuous work towards achieving the envisioned goals. This workshop signifies the beginning of a transformative journey for all SAIL employees.
Faculty of the workshop Prof. Vilas Shah from ASCI delivered insightful presentations on the importance of revisiting SAIL's vision statement delving into the critical issues, challenges, and potential outcomes linked to this visionary exercise. Sri Sanjay Dhar, Chief General Manager (HRD) at MTI, set the context of the workshop, emphasizing its relevance in the broader context of SAIL's strategic evolution. Following the workshop, the insights gathered will be instrumental in revisiting the vision of SAIL.
