National Postal Week is being celebrated in the office of Chief Postmaster General, Jharkhand Circle, Ranchi from 09.10.2023 to 13.10.2023. Under the same, a "Customer Meet" was organized today on 12.10.2023 on the occasion of "Mail and Parcel Day" here on Thursday. Along with this event, last year's excellent Incentive awards were given to the postal employees who performed and those who achieved success in the Hindi competitions organized during “Hindi Pakhwada 2023”.
The programme organized on this occasion was presided over by Rakesh Kumar, Chief Post Master General, Jharkhand Postal Circle.
Regarding new initiatives taken under “One Stop Solution” for delivery of parcels, PPU (Parcel Packaging Unit) services, ‘Post Office Export Center (DNK), Rail Post Gati Shakti Express Service: Joint Parcel Product (JPP), Parcel Tracker, “Customer Meet” was organized for wholesale customers to inform them and get their feedback on the services provided. In the meet R K Aggarwal, Principal Accountant General, Satish Chandra, Joint Commissioner, Income Tax Department, Sanjay Kumar, Deputy Election Officer, Dr. Rajeev Prasad, Regional Director, NIOS, Subhash Kumar Sahay and Sunil Kumar Senior Superintendent, Passport Office, Ashok Das, Administrative Officer LIC, Pramod Shankar, Divisional Manager LIC Jamshedpur, Raj Sinha Marketing Manager TRIFED, Ranjit Paswan IGNOU, Manish Kumar, Alankar Kumar, Central Excise Department, Vyas, Yogada Satsang etc. customers were present.
On this occasion, the Chief Post Master General gave information about the achievements of the Department of Posts, its network, new products and services of the department and new initiatives. The Postal Department has organized a special drive next week i.e. from 16th to 23rd October in which a target has been set to open one lakh accounts in the entire Jharkhand.
During the last year 2022-23, various categories like Best Direct Agent, Gramin Dak Sevak for excellent performance in rural postal life, Sub Division for best performance in rural postal life, Postal Life Insurance/Rural Postal Life Insurance have been awarded. Incentive awards and certificates were given to the postal employees who performed well in categories like Development Officer, Best Marketing Executive, Best Postman, Best Delivery Post Office, Post Office with excellent performance in parcel delivery etc.
Also on this occasion, first in Hindi Essay, Hindi Noting Drafting, Hindi Translation, Hindi Typing, Official Language General Knowledge and Hindi Dictation Competition organized during Hindi Fortnight 2023 from 14 September 2023 to 29 September 2023 at Circle Office, Ranchi. Employees securing second, third and fourth positions were awarded cash prizes and certificates of Rs.2500/-, Rs.2000, Rs.1500 and Rs.1000 respectively.
On this occasion, PK Ravi, Director Accounts (Post), Ranchi, Amit Kumar, Sub Divisional Manager (Postal Life Insurance), Niranjan Kumar, Assistant Director (Business Development), Ritesh Kumar Sinha of Jharkhand Postal Circle. Assistant Director (Second), Shantanu Azad, Assistant Director (First) and other postal employees were also present.
