The principal chief conservator of forest and chief wild life warden Kulwant Singh inspected eco tourism in tiger reserve Palamu.
He visited Kechki where four tourists' cottages are getting interior furnishings. He also visited tourists' cottages at Netarhat.
The PCCF has asked for raising 200 hectares each of new grass lands in the south and north divisions of the PTR. This tiger reserve has only 1000 hectares of grassland.
Kulwant Singh has further directed the PTR officials to use its own seeds for raising the grasslands. Seeds were purchased outside. From now onwards seeds of the grasses will be of the tiger reserve Palamu.
The idea of using seeds of the PTR is to enhance the raising of grasses in the soil and climate of the PTR.
The thrust is to weed out non palatable grasses and promote palatable grasses in the PTR as deer and bison are the voracious eaters to the grasses in the PTR.
