On the direction of Chief Minister Naveen patnaik,
5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman VK Pandian on early Sunday morning visited Satyabadi and reviewed the progress of first-phase construction work of the proposed Odia University.
The first-phase work includes a school of learning with a capacity of 200 students, a hostel block for male and another for female students with capacity for 32 students each, a hostel for 16 scholars, a library, a cafeteria, an administrative block and a Kunda (water body).
Pandian instructed the officials to complete the work by January 15.
The Odia University is located near the famous Vana Vidyalaya, Satyabadi. The campus has used Odia alphabets in its design and architecture. The university will be a center of excellence for research and development of Odia language.
The campus would be inaugurated by the Chief Minister during the last week of January 2024, Pandian informed.
