An orientation program was organised at the Conference Hall of Ispat General Hospital of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) to welcome the 21 newly inducted DNB trainees who have joined in nine different specialties this year for their post-graduation courses. Dr. B.K. Hota, ED (M&HS) presided over the inaugural function. Present on the occasion were Dr. N.P. Sahu (CMO), Dr. L.K. Biswal (CMO), Dr. P.K. Mohapatra (CMO & DNB Coordinator), Dr. Jayant Acharya (CMO), Dr. Aruna Mukti Minz, Deputy CMO and all the faculty members of the DNB courses.
Addressing the gathering Dr. B.K. Hota congratulated the students, highlighting the privilege of undergoing the DNB course at IGH, at an institution recognized for its excellence in postgraduate education according to NBEMS records.
Dr. N.P. Sahu extended wishes for a bright future to the trainees, while Dr. L.K. Biswal welcomed them and apprised them of the hospital's facilities. Dr. P.K. Mohapatra, emphasized the importance of maintaining discipline and adhering to guidelines in an industrial hospital setup like IGH. He also provided an overview of the do's and don'ts for the trainees. Dr. J.K. Acharya shared insights on effective learning through keen observation from diverse sources.
At the outset Dr. Aruna in her address welcomed the new entrants to the fold of RSP. She also proposed a formal Vote of thanks. The event set a positive tone for the DNB trainees as they embark on their educational journey at IGH, known for its commitment to academic excellence and healthcare leadership.
