In compliance with the directives of the State Government, Deputy Commissioner, Manjunath Bhajantri, has issued an order for the temporary closure of all schools under the East Singhbhum district from December 26 to December 31. The decision comes in response to the escalating impact of the cold wave across the state.
Recognizing the severity of the cold weather conditions, the State Government, as a precautionary measure, has mandated the closure of all categories of schools—government, non-government aided/unaided (including minority schools), and private schools—operating in the state during the specified period. This order is aimed at ensuring the well-being of students amidst the chilling temperatures.
To accommodate the upcoming secondary and higher secondary board examinations, classes for students from Class 10 to Class 12 will be conducted as needed. The exemption for these classes aims to minimize disruption to the academic calendar while prioritizing the safety and health of students.
Manjunath Bhajantri, has specifically directed the closure of all schools in East Singhbhum district during the stipulated dates to mitigate any potential adverse effects on children's health due to the cold weather conditions. The order is effective immediately and will be applicable throughout East Singhbhum district. Parents, students, and school authorities are urged to adhere to the precautionary measure and ensure the safety of students during this period.
