Both +2 and +3 wings of Maniabandha College here organised valedictory function of the Nua-O programme in the campus on Wednesday.
Students in large numbers took part in all the three segments like sports, cultural programme and the social activities in cooperation with the local people's representatives for over a month.
School and Mass Education Minister Sudam Marndi, Cuttack MP Bhartruhari Mahtab and Badamba-Narsinghpur MLA Debi Prasad Mishra adorned the dais as chief guest, chief speaker and distinguished guest respectively on the closing day fest.
Before attending the meeting, the guests laid the foundation stone of the proposed new building sanctioned by the CMSSY funds. Principal +2 Bijaya Kumar Parida chaired the meeting, while Principal +3 Ajaya Kumar Satpathy spoke on the objective and working of Nua-O programme.
The guests after their speech, distributed prizes to the winning students of different competitions. A grand cultural programme followed the meeting. Senior lecturer Dr Sarad Ananda Dash co-ordinated the meeting while Dr Khageswar Mohapatra proposed the vote of thanks.
