Rabindranath Tagore University's sailing player Neha Thakur (First Year student of Commerce) brought glory for the country along with the University and Sports and Youth Welfare Department, Madhya Pradesh by winning the Silver Medal in the 19th Asian Games being held in China. Neha Thakur won the silver medal in Girl's Dinghy- ILCA4 event with 28 points (Net 23) after 11 races.
This was India's second medal of the day. Now India has 14 medals in the Asian Games, which include three gold.
Seventeen-year-old Neha is a resident of village Amla Taj, Tehsil Hatpipliya district Dewas. His father Mukesh Thakur is a farmer and mother Reena Thakur is a housewife.
