Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has termed ‘Modi Ji’s Guarantee Van’, which is reaching every village and city under the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, as the carrier of security, prosperity and happiness in the life of every citizen.
Interacting virtually with more than four lakh people simultaneously on Tuesday, Yogi urged them to accord a grand welcome to the van in villages and towns. The yatra has been conducted in 490 rural and 18 urban areas.
“If any needy person in the village has not got the benefit of schemes like housing, toilet, LPG cylinder, free ration, Kisan Samman Nidhi, Ayushman Insurance, bring them to the van to get the benefits immediately,” he added.
The chief minister appealed to people to listen to the prime minister’s message on ‘Modi Ji’s Guarantee Van’ and benefit by getting acquainted with government schemes. He said that the aim of the government was to saturate the entire state 100 per cent with the public welfare schemes of the double-engine government.
The chief minister said that for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas was not just a slogan, but a resolution, and work culture.
“In the last nine and half years, the entire country has seen, known and accepted this resolution and seen it change into reality. Before the year 2014, the benefits of government schemes were given on the basis of faces, but during the rule of Modi ji, the poor, women and deprived sections are getting the benefits of every scheme without any discrimination,” Yogi said.
Discussing the importance of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, he said that merely running schemes for public welfare was not enough, but it was necessary to ensure that the benefits reached the eligible people easily and on time.
“Despite all efforts, there are a large number of people who have not been able to benefit from public welfare schemes. To help such people, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was started by Prime Minister Modi on Tribal Day (November 15) from the birthplace of Lord Birsa Munda,” he pointed out.
Calling upon every aware citizen, including public representatives and the intelligentsia, he said it was the responsibility of all to provide benefits to every eligible person who had remained deprived so far.
Addressing the beneficiaries of various public welfare schemes, the chief minister said: “In this special yatra, an important programme on the theme ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubaani’ is for you only. Narrate your experiences to the people gathered near ‘Modi Ji’s Guarantee Van’. It will be inspiring for others.”
Yogi pointed out that joining the government schemes means bringing happiness to one’s life. Discussing the situation during the previous governments, he said when the Scheduled Caste list was made, there were no Bharatiya Janata Party governments at the Centre and in the state, and a large number of people were deprived of housing and other schemes.
He further pointed out that a fresh selection of beneficiaries in the Modi government was made and as a result, in the last nine and half years, toilets have been constructed in the houses of 12 crore people in the country, including 3.5 crore in UP alone.
“Earlier, no one thought that toilets should be built in the homes of the poor. The dream of giving MSP (minimum support price) to farmers at 1.5 times the cost is being fulfilled under the Modi government. Twelve crore farmers are getting Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi, including 2.63 crore farmers of UP. As many as four crore people in the country and 55 lakh people in the state have got housing facilities, while 50 crore people in the country have got a guarantee of health insurance of Rs 5 lakh annually under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. A total of 10 crore people in the state are connected to this scheme, while 80 crore people are getting free ration,” Yogi said.
He pointed out that the prime minister has envisioned realising the resolution of ‘Developed India’ by 2047, the centenary year of Independence, adding that this dream would be realised with everyone’s cooperation.
“We are showing the ways to fulfill the prime minister’s five-pledge resolve of a developed India,” Yogi added.
