Jharkhand State Minority Commission member Waris Qureshi visited Madrasa Mufidul Islam in village Baridih under Kudu block on Saturday. During this time he took all the information from the Nazim of the Madrasa, Maulana Hussain Saheb. Maulana Saheb told that more than 200 children get education in this madrasa. Along with Islamic education, school education is also given here. Every year students from here appear for Ostania, Fokania and Maulvi. Maulana Saheb further urged Commission member Mr. Qureshi that due to the large number of children, there is a lot of difficulty in children sitting and staying. It would have been better if class rooms and hostels for these children were constructed by the Minority Welfare Department.
On this, Qureshi assured that very soon an initiative will be taken in this direction to construct class rooms and hostels under the Prime Minister's Public Development Programme. While addressing the villagers, Shri Qureshi gave information about the schemes related to minority welfare. Further said that the name of MSDP has been changed to Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram. Now under this, all the work related to minority welfare which was done under MSDP, will continue to be done. Shri Qureshi further told the villagers that under the Chief Minister Employment Generation Scheme, youth and businessmen can apply and get loans for setting up businesses and small industries. In this loan scheme, loans are given to the beneficiaries at 40 percent subsidy. He said that there is Abuva Housing Scheme for poor villagers by the state government, under this, people of rural areas can apply and get houses built. A large number of people including Naseem Ansari, Munim Ansari Raunak Iqbal, Pravez Alam, Shehzad Ansari, Maulana Akhtar, Zubair Ansari etc. were present.
