After witnessing severe cold conditions, the people across the State on Sunday got some respite following a slight increase in the minimum temperature.
However, 10 places recorded minimum temperature below 10 degree Celsius on Saturday night.
The Regional Office of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here said Koraput was the coldest place in the State with a minimum temperature of 6.6 degree.
Other places which recorded minimum temperature below 10 degree were Daringbadi 7 degree, G Udaygiri 7.4 degree, Keonjhar 8.8 degree, Sundargarh 9 degree, Phulbani 9.5 degree and Similiguda 9.6 degree.
The twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar recorded 15.1 and 16 degree, respectively.
Earlier, the IMD had predicted a rise in the minimum temperature across the State. The weather office had predicted rise in the minimum temperature by 2 to 3 degree.
