A demolition operation was executed by Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to combat the illegal colonisation of agricultural land in Near Ram Rahim Chowk in Jahangirpuri area of north Delhi. The operation took place under the jurisdiction of Bhalaswa Dairy Police Station.
According to a MCD Press statement, the MCD squad, equipped with JCB machinery and a dedicated workforce, initiated the demolition action at the location. The operation proceeded solely with the involvement of MCD.
The targeted area, measuring approximately 4000 square yards in Khasra No. 444, Near Ram Rahim Chowk, had witnessed unauthorized development by certain colonizers/builders.
They had undertaken the plotting of the land, erecting boundary walls, constructing rooms, and laying plain cement concrete roads.
During the operation, the entire colony’s plain concrete roads and boundary walls, along with rooms, were systematically dismantled, eradicating any traces of the illegal colonization. The action sends a clear message about the authorities’ commitment to preserving agricultural land and upholding land use regulations.
