A former ward member of the insurgency affected Chatrochatti police station area of Bokaro district has been murdered by CPI Maoists on the charges of being a police informer here on Tuesday evening, said police.
Regarding the incident, it was told that Sukhram Manjhi, 35, a resident of Dandara village of Chute Panchayat under Gomia block, was murdered late on Tuesday evening.
His body was thrown near the forest department officials residence, some distance away from his house.
The incident occurred around 7:30 in the evening. According to the information, Sukhram Manjhi was at his home shop and some people from the village were also there.
Suddenly a group of Maoists arrived and caught Sukhram Manjhi and killed him by slitting his throat. During this, the Maoists raised slogans that stop being police informers and SPOs.
Whoever informs the police will have the same fate. After carrying out the incident, the Maoists also left a leaflet there. In the form, Sukhram Manjhi has been accused of becoming the SPO of the police. In this regard, police station in-charge Neeraj Kumar said that information about the incident has been received.
