The students of Loyola School, Bistupur, were involved in purposeful engagement as they participated in a range of activities that left lasting impressions.
The junior section orchestrated a visit to Cheshire Home, providing an enriching experience for students of Std 5. Accompanied by around 60 teachers, the young ones engaged in heartfelt interactions, singing, and dancing for the special children of Cheshire Home. The visit went beyond mere entertainment, with students also contributing essentials like everyday groceries to support the home.
A school spokesperson shared, "It was a wonderful trip for the young ones, a trip to remember for all their lives. This small effort of the school is a gesture of gratitude at the end of the year."
Simultaneously, Class VIII students embarked on an educational and awareness trip to Jesu Bhawan as part of Project Tarumitra. The presentation covered crucial topics, including the history of Tarumitra Patna, climate change, COP 28, and initiatives by Tata Steel for environmental conservation.
Dr. Hishmi Husain, Head of Biodiversity and Corporate Sustainability at Tata Steel, interacted with students, simplifying complex environmental issues. Discussions revolved around securing the future in terms of biodiversity, pollution, global warming, and climate change. The students actively participated in the dialogue, gaining insights into Tata Steel's sustainability projects.
As part of their commitment to environmental awareness, the students presented a street play, creatively highlighting significant environmental issues. The interactive session and street play aimed to foster a sense of responsibility towards the environment among the students.
A participant reflected on the day, "The day spent at Jesu Bhawan was indeed a fruitful one, filled with learning and awareness about our environment."
