Four mobile medical units operated by Hans Foundation were inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Waghmare Prasad Krishna on Monday. Through these mobile medical units (medical vans), free medical check-up, treatment and medicines will be provided to people in 20 revenue villages of four blocks – Senha, Kudu, Bhandra and Sadar block. In this medical van, there will be a team of medical officers, pharmacists, lab technicians and ANMs, who will go from village to village every day to check-up patients, provide medicines along with treatment. As per requirement, this team will also do the work of referring serious patients to Sadar Hospital, Lohardaga.
The Deputy Commissioner said on the occasion that it would be like a medical camp in rural areas where people would get the facility of testing for various diseases at one place. This team will also have the right to refer patients to Sadar Hospital. Medical team will be present in this which will have MBBS doctor, Pharmacist, Lab Technician and ANM. On this occasion, Civil Surgeon in-charge Dr. DN Singh, District Public Relations Officer Paltu Mahato, DPM Nazish Akhtar, Epidemiologist Prashant Chauhan, Project Coordinator of Hans Foundation Vibhas Mukherjee and all the members of the medical team were present.
