Bhopal: Special Court POCSO sentenced a rape accused to life imprisonment for killing a 16-year-old minor and 20 years of rigorous imprisonment under POCSO Act, 5 years rigorous imprisonment under section 201 of the IPC.
The accused was also fined Rs 10000 in each crime and Rs 2000 for Causing disappearance of evidence of an offence.
Abhishek Jat, accused of raping and killing a minor girl after gaining her trust and indulging her in a relatinship has been sentenced to life imprisonment. In the case, Special Public Prosecutor Manisha Patel, Komila Kirtani and Dipti Patel have represented the government. Police Station Gautam Nagar Bhopal received information on September 11, 2019 that a body of a person was lying in a water pit near Resham Kendra Gol.
