Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, along with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, on September 13, will launch a slew of major initiatives to “revolutionize” the state’s education sector, including the state government’s ambitious ‘Schools of Eminence’ project, transportation facility and security staff for school students, among others.

All these new initiatives, to be launched, aimed at bringing about revolutionary changes in the state's education sector,” said Amritsar Deputy Commissioner Amit Talwar.
Talwar, while reviewing preparation for the event, held a meeting to discuss the arrangements. “AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal will be a special guest at this event. It is expected that all members of the Punjab Cabinet, legislators, and other leaders will also be present. During this event, Chief Minister Bhagwant Maan will conduct an extensive tour of the School of Eminence at Cheharta in Amritsar,” he said.
The event, which will see significant services being dedicated to the people of Punjab, is expected to draw the participation of 40,000 to 50,000 attendees, said the Deputy Commissioner, adding that all arrangements are being made with this number in mind to ensure the smooth flow of the program.
The Deputy Commissioner also issued necessary directives to the officials. During the meeting, Amritsar Commissioner of Police Naunihal Singh also discussed security and traffic management with the officers. Directives were issued to ensure the security and unhindered access to every Punjabi attending the event.
