Governor Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan participated in the State Level Employment Day and Mahila Sammelan in Umaria district today. The Governor and the Chief Minister symbolically gave away the grant of Rs 271 crore 41 lakh to 1309 MSME units of the state and loans worth Rs 2114 crore 48 lakh to 2 lakh 26 thousand 647 youth under various self-employment schemes. Development works worth Rs 388 crore were dedicated and bhoomi pujan was also performed in the programme.
The Chief Minister boosted their morale by interacting virtually with self-employed youths of Sagar, Gwalior, Ujjain and Mandla districts. Chief Minister Chouhan also distributed benefits to the beneficiaries under various schemes.
Governor Mangubhai Patel has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has resolved to eradicate sickle cell anemia and TB from India. To make this resolve for public welfare successful, we all have to make united efforts. Its investigation has been started especially in 20 tribal-dominated districts, which are most affected by this disease, all the citizens must get themselves tested. The central government has set a target of 2047 for genetic sickle cell anemia and 2025 for TB eradication. The Governor said that TB disease should not be hidden, in case of symptoms, seek medical advice immediately.
Patel said that our country resides in villages. With the prosperity of the village, the country will become strong and developed. Madhya Pradesh always remains on top in the implementation of the schemes of the central and state government for rural development. He appreciated the government’s decision to give priority to women’s small, micro and medium enterprises in government procurement. He also congratulated the state government for being first in the implementation of Matru Vandana Yojana. Referring to Ladli Laxmi Yojana and Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana, the Governor appreciated the efforts of the state government for women empowerment.
The Governor said that it is a matter of joy that the state government is working with full dedication for the development of all sections, youth, women, deprived sections and tribals. The state government has implemented PESA Act in 11 thousand 457 villages of 20 tribal-dominated districts to strengthen the traditional rights of tribal community on water, forest and land.
Chouhan said that Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana has been launched for the economic empowerment of women of the state. Women will be self-dependent by taking advantage of the scheme and their small financial needs will be fulfilled. The Chief Minister said that June 10 will bring good luck in the lives of women. On this day an amount of Rs one thousand will be transferred to the accounts of all the eligible women. This scheme will change the life and circumstances of women. The process of transferring the amount to the women’s accounts will continue.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that earlier daughters were considered a burden in the state. Taking the help of modern medical resources, daughters were killed in the womb itself. To improve this situation, I decided that daughters should also get all the opportunities for development like sons. Hence, our government has decided that the daughter born in the state should be a millionaire. For this purpose Ladli Laxmi Yojana was introduced. Today, there are about 46 lakh Ladli Betis in the state. Many schemes are also being implemented to make them empowered. Along with this, the state government is arranging their marriage under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana.
