5-DAY ATHAGARH MAHOTSAV KICK-STARTS 

Athagarh: The five-day Athagarh Mahotsav kick-started on Friday with its inauguration by Cuttack MP Bhartruhari Mahtab accompanied by local MLA and Minister Ranendra Pratap Swain, Cuttack District Urban Development Project Director Hemant Kumar Swain and Athagarh Sub-Collector Prasant Kumar Tarai. Mahtab eulogised the work of MLA Swain and said the local culture should be developed through such festivals and local talents must get recognition. Athagarh has contributed to Kalingan architecture a lot as the rocks used in the temple of Konark Sun Temple and Shreemandir of Puri were from Rautarapur hill of Athagarh. 

MISSING MAN’S BODY RECOVERED FROM BRAHMANI

Rourkela: ODRAF and Fire Service personnel on Friday recovered a body of a man from Brahmani river under the Lahunipada police station in Sundargarh district after he had gone missing four days back. The deceased was identified as Ashok Singh of Gudiali village under Bonai sub-division in the district. On Tuesday, Singh was taking a dip in the river after immersing some Puja materials when he was dragged away by strong current and went missing.

TPCODL OBSERVES ENERGY CONSERVATION DAY

Bhubaneswar: The TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL) marked the Energy Conservation Day with a series of impactful initiatives focusing on raising awareness about global warming, climate change and the crucial need to conserve energy resources. The event commenced on December 14 with a symbolic sapling-plantation ceremony led by TPCODL CEO Arvind Singh. Singh emphasised the significance of energy conservation.
