Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday launched the 'Him Samachar' App of the Himachal Pradesh Information and Public Relations Department. This user-friendly App will help provide easy access to information to the people about the policies and programmes of the State Government besides the departmental bulletins, video contents, short reels and essential updates on the government's decisions offering a diverse range of content. Him Samachar App can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or by scanning the QR code.
The Chief Minister said that the state government has introduced numerous welfare schemes aimed at improving the lives of the people of the State, adding that the Information and Public Relations Department plays a pivotal role in disseminating the policies and programs to the grassroots level. He asked the department to further embrace modern technology to enhance the dissemination of the government's public welfare initiatives to the last man in the queue.
Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sanjay Awasthi, MLA, Kewal Singh Pathania, Principal Advisor (Media) to Chief Minister, Naresh Chauhan, Director, Digital Technology and Governance, Mukesh Repaswal, Director Information and Public Relations, Rajiv Kumar amongst others were present on the occasion.
