Ghulam Ahmed Mir has been made in-charge of Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee. Avinash Pandey, who was in charge of Jharkhand after RPN Singh, has been given the responsibility of Uttar Pradesh Congress.
Ghulam Ahmed Mir is linked with Jammu and Kashmir. He has been the state President of Jammu and Kashmir on behalf of Congress. He contested the election from Durru Assembly seat of Kashmir and won. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Ghulam Ahmed lost to National Conference's Hasan Masoodi.
Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee president Rajesh Thakur expressed happiness over the nomination of Ghulam Ahmed Mir as in-charge of Jharkhand Congress. He said that Jharkhand Congress will benefit from his expertise. Mir is considered an efficient leader. During his tenure as the State President of Jammu and Kashmir, he worked to take the organization to the villages. Their efficiency will be seen in Jharkhand also, he said.
Meanwhile, former IPS officer of Jharkhand and former Jharkhand Congress President Dr. Ajay Kumar has been made in-charge of three states. At the same time, Avinash Pandey has been given the charge of Uttar Pradesh Congress. JPCC president Rajesh Thakur has expressed happiness and said that both the leaders are experienced leaders. There is no doubt that Congress will benefit from their experiences. He expressed gratitude to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge for handing over the responsibility of a big state like Uttar Pradesh to Avinash Pandey. It is said that Pandey is a skilled organizer.
