Govt provides better employment opportunities for youth: Chautala

Monday, 11 December 2023 | PNS | Chandigarh/Karnal

Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala on Sunday said that the State Government has improved employment opportunities for the youth in the State. The coalition government of the state has steered Haryana on the path of progress by consistently working in the interest of the state over the last four years, he added.

Chautala, talking to reporters in Karnal, said that today, Haryana leads all states in the country with a 44 percent GST increase, showcasing the progressive thinking of the coalition government.

“The steps taken by JJP to fortify the organization in the last five years have invigorated the party, generating enthusiasm among the workers. JJP’s membership campaign will continue across the state until December 20, aiming to add 25 new members at each booth and achieve the target of five lakh new members in the State,” said Chautala, urging the party workers to go door-to-door to promote public welfare initiatives.

Later, addressing the gathering, Chautala, as the chief guest at the felicitation ceremony in Fafdana village in Assandh constituency, highlighted that the present government has improved employment opportunities for the youth in the State. He noted the government's efforts to attract major industries to Haryana, citing the establishment of industrial units by companies like Maruti and Birla Group.

Additionally, he mentioned the continuous efforts of the State Government to promote small industries under the Padma scheme. At the same time, Chautala appealed to the state’s youth to seize opportunities for progress within their State or country rather than seeking opportunities abroad.

Chautala said that during the previous Congress government, farmers received as little Rs two as compensation. However, the current State Government, prioritizing the interests of farmers, increased the compensation amount to Rs 15,000 per acre. He highlighted that, now, when a farmer sells his crop in the market, the funds are deposited into his bank account within two days, strengthening the financial position of the farming community.

He also mentioned that Rs 25 crore has been allocated in the last four years for the renovation of 15 roads in the Assandh region. Furthermore, the government secured Rs 83 crore from the Central Government for the Assandh to Kaithal route.
