Fox should also be included in the list of 18 wild life which is counted or whose census is done in the tiger reserve Palamu.
The 18 wild life of the tiger reserve Palamu are tiger, leopard, elephant, bear, wolf, hynae, bison, chousingha, monkey, langur, peafowl, sambhar, cheetal, barking deer etc.
But fox is no where around in the census column. It is not from 1976 to 2020. It is sighted and noticed but a proper count with locations of it is wanting in the tiger reserve Palamu.
It was in 1974 that the first census of the tigers was done in tiger reserve Palamu.
It was repeated in 1975 when only tiger was counted.
However from 1976, census of 18 wild life is done without fail.
Counting is done of monkeys, langurs, hynae, bear, wolf besides flag bearers of wild life like tiger, elephant, leopard but not of the fox.
Chief wild life warden Kulwant Singh has been urged to order the census of the fox and its subsequent entry in the census column along with 18 other species of the wild life.
