In yet another case of suicide, former district BJP president Chanda Shekhar Mishra’s son Tinku Mishra committed suicide by hanging at his residence in Sitaramdera on Monday morning. The 35-year-old Tinku Mishra who was BJP leader’s younger son is said to have taken this step due to some serious family issues.

Notably, Chandra Shekhar’s house is located at the densely-populated Indiranagar in Bhalubasa under the Sitaramdera police station area of the city.

According to sources in the bereaved family, the youth took his dinner last night and went to sleep. However, his room was found closed till late in the morning. When the room remained closed for a long period, the family sensed trouble. There was also no response from inside despite repeated knocks on the door by the family members, they broke open the door to find him hanging from the ceiling fan.

Sitaramdera police station OC, Akhilesh Mandal said this to be a case of suicide. “ It is too early to comment on the reasons. The reason behind the suicide is not yet known, but we are trying to find it out. We have sent the body to the MGM medical college mortuary for postmortem, ” said Mandal.

As the news spread, a large number of BJP activists rushed to Chandra Shekhar Mishra’s house getting the information about his son’s suicidal death. The former BJP district president is considered a very close aide of former CM Raghubar Das.
