Even though there has been some respite from extreme cold conditions, normal life continued to be affected in some parts of State due to dense fog, especially during early morning hours, on Friday.
A thick blanket of fog created problems for the commuters and early office-goers in different districts. Normal life was also affected in the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar as well.
Especially, the movement of vehicular traffic on the outskirts of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar and other patches was affected due to dense fog.
The IMD also issued a Yellow warning for dense fog in several districts.
Dense fog is very likely to occur in the districts of Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Boudh, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Rayagada and Koraput on Saturday, the weather office said.
