The fog conditions remained across the state on Tuesday with extreme cold conditons.
There was fog in Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday. Visibility was less than 50 meters in Satna and Datia. There was light haze in Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Ujjain also. There was dense fog in Vidisha, Raisen, Khargone and other cities also.
A new Western Disturbance is becoming active from December 29. It will be quite strong. Due to this, there are chances of rain and hailstorm in many districts of the state from December 30 to January 4. This means that the new year may start with clouds and rain.
Dr. Vedprakash Singh, senior scientist of the Meteorological Department, Bhopal, said that south-easterly winds are active in the state. There is a clash of north-easterly winds in Gwalior-Chambal. Due to this, dense fog is prevailing. The effect of fog will remain for the next two days.
Western Disturbance will be active from the night of December 29. There are chances of hailstorm and rain in Gwalior, Chambal, Ujjain, Bhopal, Sagar and Rewa divisions. There may be drizzle in Indore, Narmadapuram, Jabalpur, Shahdol.
The night temperature in major cities in degree celsius was Bhopal 13.4, Indore 15.6, Gwalior 7.8, Jabalpur 9.8.
Among the other cities night temperature( in degree celsius) in Ujjain 12, Pachmarhi 7.8, Khandwa 8, Datia 8.2 Rajgarh 8.4, Nowgong 8.6, Malajkhand 9.2 and Tikamgarh 9.5.
