Experts mull solutions to tackle contemporary engineering challenges

On the second day of the three-day 38th Indian Engineering Congress - 2023, organized under the aegis of Institution of Engineers (India) Local Center Jabalpur, on Thursday, renowned experts from India and abroad expressed their views on many current and future issues. Experts brainstormed on the growing challenges of Artificial Intelligence in computer science and discussed ways to deal with the dangers posed by its misuse. Expert concerns about job displacement due to AI , bias and privacy, security risks from hacking, etc. were discussed in detail.

Media in-charge of the organizing committee, Tarun Anand and Mr. Rajeev Jain said that on the second day of the Engineering Congress organized on the theme "Reimagining Tomorrow: Shaping the Future through Disruptive and Interdisciplinary Technologies", a total of 59 technical papers from various branches of engineering were presented today. In which future health care products, low-cost manufacturing of chassis for heavy electric vehicles, charging EV batteries with renewable energy, smart energy grid, AI in solar power generation. Topics included use of power transmission, importance of real time data in power transmission systems etc.

In Congress ,faculty of Madan Mohan Malviya technical university  Gorakhpur , Kritika Singh Somvanshi  told about the important technology of making fiber bags from rice, sugarcane leaves etc. as an alternative to polythene, which is going to become an alternative to polythene in future.

 Jagat Bahadur Singh Annu and industrialist Kailash Gupta met the famous scientists and engineers who had come to participate in the 38th Indian Engineering Congress - 2023.

Mayor Annu honored world famous Defence scientist and engineer Sudhir Kumar Mishra and presented him a memento. Mayor Annu sought opinion from all the experts for the development of Jabalpur and assured that there will be no hesitation in implementing the suggestions of the Institution of Engineers in the interest of Jabalpur. Kailash Gupta welcomed all the visiting guests and made complete arrangements including vehicles for them to visit Bhedaghat and Dumna Nature Park.
